Ingredients


1 tbsp sesame oil

2 scallions, sliced green end only

1 tbsp garlic infused oil

1 red pepper

1 small piece ginger, chopped

85g/3oz sirloin steak, sliced into strips

2 tbsp tomato puree

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp gluten free soy sauce

1 tsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp sesame seeds








Method


In a small pan heat the ketchup, maple syrup, gluten free soy and  vinegar.  When hot, check the balance of flavours, add more sweet (maple) or sour (vinegar) to suit your personal taste. Set aside.

Heat the sesame oil in a pan and gently fry the peppers and ginger for 2-3 minutes to soften, then add the beef strips. Fry for a further 3-4 minutes, or until the beef is cooked to your liking.

In a small pan heat the tomato puree, maple syrup, gluten free soy and  vinegar.  When hot, check the balance of flavours, add more sweet (maple) or sour (vinegar) to suit your personal taste. Set aside when you are happy.

Add the sauce, garlic infused oil and sesame seeds to the beef until the beef is evenly coated, then pile onto a serving plate. Serve with rice or rice noodles.
